SICK CARE

When your pet is not feeling their best, it is important to figure out the reason and help them feel better quickly. Our trained veterinarians are able to examine your pet and help identify any issues. Occasionally, additional tests may be recommended to help us better understand your pets health, such as blood tests or x-rays. Medication or additional treatments may be prescribed or recommended to help your pet feel better. Our staff treats each pet individually to identify any issues and help them return to health as quickly as possible.

PREVENTATIVE CARE

Prevention can be essential for your pet to help keep them healthy and identify any possible health issues before they become serious issues. Regular examinations yearly or twice yearly, as well as heartworm, flea and tick medication, and vaccinations are a key component of your pet’s health.

DENTAL CARE

Did you know your pet’s teeth are an important part of their health care? Regular dental examinations and cleanings can help your pets breath stay fresh while also identifying any issues with their teeth such as fractures, infection, or even cancer. Your veterinarian will examine your pet’s mouth during each visit and help formulate a dental care plan for your pet.

DIAGNOSTICS & TESTING

Diagnostic testing can be useful to help ensure your pet is healthy and identify any possible health issues. Routine diagnostic testing, such as annual heartworm and intestinal parasite testing, is an important aspect of preventative care to ensure your pet is healthy and free of disease. If your pet is sick, x-rays, blood tests, or even ultrasound may be recommended to help your veterinarian identify what is wrong and how best to treat your pet.

Weddington Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful! We have tried out a few around the area and this is our favorite. Recently our puppy swallowed something she wasn’t supposed to & everyone apart of the hospital took such good care of her. Dr. Faulkner is amazing! He explained everything into such great detail and we were happy to leave her in such great hands. Thank you Weddington Animal Hospital!
