
Dr. Ed Faulkner
Dr. Ed Faulkner grew up in Kernersville, North Carolina and obtained his undergraduate degrees at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Faulkner elected to follow his lifelong interest in animals and pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Faulkner was President of his veterinary class and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. He is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), is the current Vice President of the NCVMA (North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association), a member of the NCASAM (North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine), and a member of AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners). Dr. Faulkner has special interests in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, infectious disease, and internal medicine.
Dr. Faulkner is proud to live right here in Weddington, in the community he serves. In his free time, he enjoys being active with his family, which includes his wife, two daughters, Murray the dog and Caroline the cat. He is a fervent supporter of the Wolfpack and is a big fan of football (Redskins), hockey (Hurricanes), baseball (Orioles), basketball (Celtics), and NASCAR (48). Dr. Faulkner is an avid fly fisherman and loves to get lost in the mountains, fishing different rivers for trout.
